Took this out for a dawn patrol session and the wide brim kept the glare off my face the whole time, even as the sun climbed. The ventilation actually does its job too, my head didn’t feel like a sauna after paddling back in. Sure beats squinting through every wave.

I was skeptical about a hat that floats, but after losing one to the wind last summer, this wide-brim design is a total game-changer for surf sessions. The fabric dries quickly too, so I’m not dripping water all over the car on the drive home.
