Took this leash out on a solid six-foot day and it held my board perfectly through every wipeout. The 7-foot length is just right for the waves I'm surfing without feeling bulky. Really impressed with how lightweight it is on the ankle.

The cord is thicker than my old one, so it doesn't tangle into a mess after every session, and at seven feet it gives me plenty of room on head-high days. I've taken it out four times now and the swivel hasn't locked up once, which is exactly what I needed.
